MDS (I) - NightVision Techno PODCAST 44 Pt. 2 Bio: Davide Mancini aka MDS was born in Rome April 1, 1987. MDS, begins to approach the world of dj-ing in 2002 at the age of 15 with the passion for Dance music in general. From 2004 to 2006 he performs in some party in the Castelli Romani. MDS growing musically and converted to the music that will totally transform himself: the Techno In 2007, begins his interest in the music production with the desire to create their own music and to play it. Mds in January he joined as a resident DJ of the evening Traintek, best techno party in rome/Italy In May was contacted by Mr. Len Faki for a collaborative on len series. Mauro Picotto (I) - NightVision Techno PODCAST 43 Pt. 2 Bio: Mauro Picotto is an Italian DJ who began his career in 1984, at the age of eighteen, at a club in Piedmont called Top Sound. Following his studies he devoted himself full time to his passion as a DJ and in 1988 he became a finalist in the Italian DMC. In 1989 he won the Walky Cup Competition, broadcast on TV, which enshrined him as the best Italian DJ. The same year he devoted much of his time to the production of his first album as R.A.F., and he soon became one of the leading producers at Media Records in Italy, of which he would eventually become a partner. In the meantime he began to produce himself, releasing massive tracks including Bakerloo Symphony, Iguana and Komodo to name a few, though his fame is mainly due to Lizard, a track that turned into a musical style, receiving awards and accolades from all territories, pushing Mauro to the Olympus of the Top 10 most popular DJs in the world. In 2001 he began his metamorphosis, leaving Media records and creating Bakerloo and the label Alchemy. His productions would vary in genres from dance to trance, the most sophisticated techno to an evolution of all that is homemade music. In 2003 Mauro Picotto created Meganite - Electronic Music Lifestyle - a successful club party linked to the best DJs of the moment. For the Meganite events he has had on his side top artists known today as Chris Liebing, Marco Carola and Adam Beyer, all playing alongside Mauro as Meganite resident DJs. Since the very beginning, the selection of artists chosen for Meganite has been of the highest quality for an evening mainly based on innovative electronic music, a cocktail of pure energy and emotion. Mauro Picotto has released over 600 productions and numerous remixes, and to date he has sold over six million copies worldwide. He has played in best clubs with the most famous Djs, as well as having participated in all the major events, from Love Parade to Creamfields, MTV Festival, Winter Olympics in Turin, Ultra, Time Warp and Awakenings. Mauro's much anticipated album "2010" was released in 2010 showing his impeccable and unique style for dance music lovers and to celebrate the new adventure with his residency at Space Ibiza for Come Together. In 2011 Mauro organized his first 2 days Alchemy Music Festival in the Country , in his hometown Cavour and released another great new Album called "TwentyEleven" confirming his musical taste and creativity, always at the top. Space DJz (UK) - NightVision Techno PODCAST 41 Pt. 2 Bio: Real name / Space Djz Moniker(s) / Ben Long & Jamie Bissmire Ever since the pair's formation in the early 1900's their unerring ability to fuse raucous techno with their life long love of Hip Hop, has set them aside from there peers. In the present day, an abundance of UK techno producer's have emerged, none would deny The Space Djz are true innovators. In 1995 the duo released their debut Ep Space DJz on the legendary and now defunked Infonet imprint, quickly followed up by an outing on the Belgium label Reload These two projects put them on the techno map but the real turning point arrived in early 1996 on Infonet with the release of the ..Return to earth', Ep, containing the techno anthems ..Side on', and ..Rock the house'.Both trakz would blow up to be huge and be re-released via Frankfurt based Ongaku .The combined output of both releases was over 10,000 copies and along side Dave Clarks Red 1 these were two of the biggest tunez of the year and are still much sought after and played to this day. The Djz became prize catches for major playerz Nova Mute and Soma contributing several more classic releases, culminating in 1999's critically acclaimed album ..On Patrol`. The album expressed Ben and Jamie's roots perfectly, combining their now infamous hip hop influences with their unique brand of analog techno and chaotic electronic soundscapes. Later that year The Space Djz delivered a trak that was to become one of their biggest hitz to date AK 47 a trak that had originally been heard on a Nova Mute Compilaton was reworked and served to capture the period's riotus spirit of techno. Listening to that record, one would imagine was like being attacked with a chainsaw buy an electronic chicken, simply brutal. It was released as a double pack on Ben Long's highly regarded Potential Recordingz and featured remixes by many of techno's biggest namez including Umek, The Advent, Gaetano Parisio, Oliver Ho, Inigo Kennedy, Chris McCormack. During 2001 Ben and Jamie also able to concentrate on their solo projects working with labels such as Consumer Recreation, CLR, Primate, PrimeEvil, Tortured, Advanced, Eukatech, Speilzeug, and the running of their own labelz Potential Recordingz, Ergonomix, ReRub , 50hz, Ground, Foundation and Target. Soren Aalberg (BEL) - NightVision Techno PODCAST 40 Pt. 3 Bio: Baby Soren was found by two fishermen floating in a Ikea basket on the Nordic Sea. He was raised by Mr Aalberg and went off to study in Kopenhagen (where he still lives today). It was there that he ran into Thomas Angstrom. Thomas introduced Soren to the world of electronic music. Soon they decided to make music together which led to some great releases on fine labels such as Bedrock records, Mindtrip Music, Coincidence records,... By using home made synthesizers and lots of own sounds, they create an unique and remarkable sound. That sound has been loved by DJ's such as Richie Hawtin, Len Faki, Troy Pierce, Luciano, Paco Osuna,... Currently Soren and Thomas run a label called Girafe Sauvage. This label aimes to release quality music from various artists all over the world such as Minilogue, Rodriguez Jr., Dimitri Andreas, Bryan Zentz, Size and so on. What will the future bring for Soren?
